As requesteed, here is a new thread to hopefully address the freezing issue I'm having that just started in the last month or so. I did my best to follow the directions in the "What to do if Audition keeps crashing" thread. Here is some info I sent to Adobe at 'audbugs@adobe.com':
Then I noticed Outlook blocked access to the log file because it is a .tmp file. Sheesh. But speaking of log files, when I go to Help>Reveal Log Files, it takes me to .tmp files under LogTransport2CC/Logs under AppData/Roaming/Adobe. And it really is just martian - incomprehensible. One of them has a filename of: "ulog_CC_AUDITION_9C65348743E812AE992016B8@AdobeID_04a37d85-cdc7-4b17-906e-569690afdb13_0.tmp"
I'm pretty sure that isn't going to yield any information. thoughts?
[UPDATE] I got this solved! It was my Korg Keyboard. Adobe support found it after telling me to do the following: "The next time this happens and Audition is in the frozen state, please press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select “Task Manager”. Then locate the “Adobe Audition.exe” process, right-click on it, and select “Create dump”. This will save the memory state of the application to a file that can be loaded in a debugger."
I uploaded that to Google Drive for them to look at and he said it pointed to a Korg keybaord. I unconnected mine (which I only ever use in Reaper anyway) and BINGO! Problem solved. Whew! Finally!
See above response for the solution that worked for me. Posting again here.
