I wanted to remaster an old project but it's a ses file and I am completely mystified that adobe doesn't have a native utility to convert it to the new format. There's ses2sesx, but I'm not going to pay 50 dollars to do something that audition should be able to do on it's own. Does anyone have a copy of ses2sesx that they can send to me?
Thanks

Since SuiteSpot, the creator of ses2sesx is a regular visitor to these forums - and a lot of people know that - I suspect that it's unlikely that you'll get any takers.

I should perhaps add that really, you've blown it completely. Quite often, if it's just a single session that needs converting, he'd offer to do it for you for nothing, because he's like that - a nice guy. But with your approach, I don't rate your chances too highly, I'm afraid...

Any chance that any of you folks know of an equivalent for a mac? I actually bought the software but then realized that it won't work on my Mac. That was extremely disappointing.

To be fair from memory there was never a Mac version of Audition that used ses files so it would be unrealistic to have created a Mac version of the software.
When ses2sesx was originally written and released there were instructions to install it on a Mac using WineBottle/WineSkin/Crossover but we are talking over 13 years ago.
However, if you want to message me with proof of purchase I would be happy to convert all your ses files for you

You rock brother. I just cancelled the adobe creative plan. I'm pretty disappointed with this work they've done and not supporting the old files. Seems illogical on their part. I figure I can still edit them on my windows laptop and not run in the mac. However, I do greatly appreciate the offer and also the fact that you even read my post dude.
You make perfectly valid points. My case is unique. I'm coming from a super old windows version to a super new mac version. I just took for granted that this feature would be built in by default. I was wrong. Heheh.
Thanks again!

I'm just grateful I caught the issue prior the 14 days, otherwise I'd be on the hook for the subscription. Though it was a good deal, I will say that.

Of course, PM me and I will give you the email address and you can zip up the ses files (no media needed) and just email them to me

I recently left the radio station I have been at for a decade and took all of my ses files with me. I just downloaded and paid for the newest AA for my home studio and now can't access my SES files! WTF!
OK, I need AA3 back!!!

Well, it's been a long time, but I have solved this problem by installing Audition3.0 and saving all my old projects with .xml extension. Then I opened them with Audition2022
Greetings

Been a while since I looked at this but I'm pretty sure the FX (and a few other things) don't convert across but if that isn't an issue then happy days

Even if you download and install Audition 3.0 and enter a valid serial number, you'll still need to activate it.
However, activation is no longer possible because Adobe retired the activation servers several years ago.
