Background noises

Hello. I am working on a video that has minor sounds in the background. The subject of the video when speaking accidentally slaps his knee and you can hear it. I tried to get rid of this with the heal tool from Adobe Audition but that just damages the dialogue. You can also hear what sounds like floor creeks from the room where the video was filmed in. It's not throughout the video just from time to time.
Is there a way to get rid of this?

Thanks

We simply can't tell about any of this without hearing it, I'm afraid. Some things you can shift, some things you can't. There are a number of contributing factors, and it's the nature of these that determine the possibilities. If you can post uncompressed (ie, not MP3 but Wav) samples, we might be able to give you a better idea.
