I have a boat 5.1 surround speaker with optical and HDMI input only. But when i set the audition to 5.1 settings its not giving proper output. My pc having optical output with 5.1 and same connected to the boat surround speakers.
How to output 5.1 to the optical dolby digital speakers for editing 5.1 in audition?
Audition doesn't have the ability to encode its output to the Dolby standard - it only outputs the 'raw' unencoded signals. To include a proper Dolby encoder would put the price of the software up to an astonomical level. There's an encoder that will create a stereo feed to the Dolby standard - encoding AC3 is relatively straightforward but there's no free multichannel version available (Well not legally anyway - I believe that others have found external solutions to this).

Hi,
did you edited the Configuration in Audition to the proper Output? Please check that config. Did you check those with proper 5.1 Files in Audition and have you te Drivers set correctly?
Also take a look at https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/5-1-surround-sound.html
Hope that helps.

yes sir. My configuration is in proper output and i tried with 5.1 audio too.
Does audition need seperate individual output connection for speakers ? or single optical is enough ?
