PC user. I use a lot of sound effects from an online library when editing a podcast. So I'm regularly downloading files, dragging them into a set of organized folders on my HD, and then drag them into my project for use. It's on the fly, so I can't import everything I need before starting the work. It's odd to me that I can't drop the files directly into the largest box in the window, where the files actually live! I have to drop them in the narrow frame around that window. Kind of a dumb little issue and a minor nuisance at best, but it seems more intuitive to be able to do this, and it would increase my work speed just a bit.
Image for reference if I'm not clear - can't drag and drop into the red area, you have to drop inside the green box.
Anybody else dealing with this? Am I missing something?

I'm sure there is a good reason why but if you use it so often and have so many files it might pay you to make the window a little bigger and then it is a lot easier

Is responding late to topics acceptable? This has been an (admittedly minor) annoyance for me as well, ever since I began using the software. SuiteSpot's recommendation to make the window bigger is a good one, but in my case and I'm sure others, I have too many files open in my session to drag it into an empty spot. It really ought to be possible to drag and drop directly into Files, as it is in similar UIs in other software.

Yeah, same here, I just have so many files per project (SFX & music tracks) that I can't make that window big enough, especially without losing space I'm already using for other windows like Media Browser/Effects Rack and History.
