How can I move playhead using keyboard shortcuts during playback?

While editing a multitrack file I need to quickly rewind to the beginning and In point, resp., to be able to compare two tracks.

For this I'd usually use the keyboard shortcuts <HOME> or <Q> (on my Windows machine). However, none of them work during playback.

Is there an option in Audition that's activating playhead keyboard shortcuts during playback?

The only keyboard shortcuts that I am aware of that allow you to jump about the audio file whilst playing back are the Cntrl+Left/Right cursor keys. But these only work if you have placed Markers onto the Multitrack timeline. Also it probably helps to have the 'Return Playhead to Start Position on Stop' option turned on. With this option you can re-position the Start dotted line cursor using the L/R cursor keys during play back. But you have to do a quick Stop then Start to listen from the new position. As do the Q and W shortcuts for the In/Out points. But, unfortunately, not whilst Playback is active. So you always have to do a Stop/Start to re-position playback.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but on a Mac, you can use function + R/L arrow keys to move directly to the beginning or the end of a multitrack session.

Doesn't work on the OP's PC, but Home and End do. More fingers required on the Mac version...
