Hi everyone,
I am wondering if it is possible to use/integrate Voicemod with Audition. I just started using Voicemod and have reached out to their tech support with the same query. But in the meantime, does anyone know if it's possible? Either by integrating Voicemod directly into Audition, or exporting a keybind or voice recording from Voicemod into Audition as a .wav file?

I wanted to add that I am using Audition for my podcast. I wish to use Voicemod for different voices for characters in my podcast.

From what you are saying, I don't think you've quite understood how it works, although your last suggestion is correct, I think. Voicemod is effectively processing the signal from your mic, and (in theory, and hopefully in practice) making it available as a source you can record. If you look at step 5 in their setup, it tells you to select Microphone (Voicemod Virtual Audio Device) as your recording source. If you select that as your source in Audition, then you will be able to record it directly - but that's as far as it goes with any audio device - Audition simply records what is sent from it.

Hi SteveG and thank you for your reply. I have read so many articles on this and there are no tutorials or directives on integrating VoiceMod with Audition. But, I find VoiceMod to be among the best, from what I have found. I did read somewhere to set my microphone to VoiceMod. So you are suggesting that I do this directly in Audition, under Preferences? But yes, I am having trouble understanding how this integration works. When you say 'you will be able to record it directly', how do I do that? Sorry, not only new to VoiceMod, but also to Audition. 😕 Thanks again!

I have tried changing the recording source, but then it does not work.

The only apps that can be integrated in any way into Audition are VST's, and Voicemod isn't one of those. So this is not integration in any way, and neither can it be. And saying 'it does not work' doesn't exactly give us any clues as to what happens, does it? Even if you set the source correctly in Preferences, then if you are working in Multitrack, you will still have to select the correct source to record from. If I get a chance later I'll try it and see what happens.

Understood that Voicemod is not a VST. So, saying that 'it does not work' is coming from someone who is [yet] an Audition expert. LOL. I suppose we could have learned this from the beginning, as I am quite sure that I am not the first to wonder about Voicemod being compatible with Audition. Not sure then, why you would 'try it and see what happens'. At any rate, much appreciated! 🙂

I think you're the first person to wonder it out loud here, as it were. I have never tried to use Voicemod at all for anything, so I'd have to try it to find out what it does - and I think that would probably be the case for anybody else who might respond, too. At least if I try it, then I might be able to work out what it is you should do to get it working, or at least tell you why it won't.
