I import a functional video, and the Audition reads the audio as static instead

I have attached a video to visibly show you what is wrong because I am really bad at technical terms. But basically, I have a perfectly functional video. I import it to Adobe Audition, or Adobe Premiere as well. Both do the same thing. Then I press play and its just static. You can't even hear the original audio file at all. I don't even do anything in audition to cause this. Just import the video and its suddenly all messed up. How do I fix this?

What is the exact format of that video file (and I don't mean the container format)?

From memory you can't just import any old format into Audition
