'Insert into multitrack' audio always appears at 14 hours

Hi There,

I consider myself an expert in audition having used it professionally for over 19 years (CEP1), but there is a bug which I've seen in most versions which I cannot seem to solve.

When I'm editing audio from the waveform view and want to push a selection through to an open multitrack session, the audio always appears in the session many hours from the beginning, forcing me to scroll to the end, cut the clip, and paste it in my workspace.

Has anyone else expereinced this? or know what's causing it? or have a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Almost invariably when this happens, it's because of this setting (Preferences>Multitrack Clips):

Embedded timecode 2.JPG

Take the check out of it, and your clips will be inserted wherever you left the cursor. Not a bug at all - it's doing exactly what it says on the tin!

Oh thank goodness. I was afraid this was going to be something stupid. I find myself doing this a LOT though, and wish I could do it with a hotkey. It seems like I can only have one multitrack open, so not sure why it even gives me the option of inserting into new, or the one I have open.

This must have changed from off/on in a recent update or something, because I've always inserted at current time. So I have to make sure to check that time first to make sure I don't write over what's already there. I hate it when Adobe decides to change a default.

Just wanted to say thanks, I guess to both of you. Had the question not been properly asked, I wouldn't have been able to find the answer.
