Just installed Adobe Audition and it will not record

I just installed Adobe Audition. When I hit record, this is what happens. Computer is working great.

You need to check on what your input signal actually is, by clicking on the > marker and making sure you've got a valid input selected. Audition is actually recording - it's just short of a signal.
