Lag in recording on Audition. Not latency

Hello, 

I am having issues with a delay in recording vocal tracks. There are no audio latency issues, but when I playback clip it is behind by about a second. I am now having to constantly shift my clips over after each recording. How do I get back to realtime placement? 

Using Audition 

on iMac 2019 

8 gig ram

yeti blue USB microphone

I/o buffer 4096

Sample rate 44100

The I/O buffer is quite high. Try lowering that down to around 512 and see if this makes a difference.
