Marking audio files as used

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

This might sound like an odd question.

I produce a three-hour classical music show for a local radio station.

I use the multitrack editor, and on one of the tracks, I record the intro and back announce to each song.

I drag my music in as needed and then drag the audio I have recorded into the editing section.

Is there a way Audition can keep track of the files I have dragged over to the multitrack? Perhaps with a small asterisk or a colour change?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks!!

No I'm afraid there isn't - you'd have to mark them as such yourself. One of the huge problems with implementing anything like this is that what Multitrack displays as clips are no more than markers, and they don't necessarily relate to an entire file. So you could use a part of a file in one place but not necessarily use the rest of the file until later. This would render any marking scheme other than that which the session file uses as useless.
