Morphing sounds to create ambiguous word

Hello,

I am conducting an experiment at university, which requires me to create ambiguous words that can be interpreted as being one word or another.

This means I will start with two different words that have one phoneme which differentiates them - e.g., "Goat" and "Boat"

I then want to morph these words together so that I end up with one ambiguous word where the differentiating phonemes ("g" and "b") have been replaced by a waveform that is intermediate to both of these sounds.... to create an ambiguous word that can be perceived as either "Goat" or "Boat"

Is this at all possible?! I would appreciate any advice.  Let me know if my explanation was not clear.

Thanks!

You may want to post that here: Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC

The SDK forum isn't the best place for it.
