Multitrack > Track > Duplicate Selected Track - SHORTCUT

New Here ,

Is there any shortcut to "Choose Multitrack > Track > Duplicate Selected Track"?

Couldn't find any in the shortcut library.

I need it f.e. when I position one instrument left and the other to the right.

thanks

s.

Not directly, but there's an easy way to do it, with one slight advantage:

Go tp Keyboard Shortcuts and assign a key (I use X) to be 'Select Clips to End of Track'. If you hit this on the track you've highligted, all the clips in it will be selected, in position. The go Ctrl+C and copy that. Put the cursor on your new track (you can even offst this if you want) and hit Ctrl+V. You're done. What's the advantage? You can put the cursor in as many tracks as you like, and paste these clips anywhere, as often as you like without making the selection again.

Thank you, but on the other hand the effects are missing. Weird, that this command isn't available.

Well, I have a shortcut on Alt-C called "Duplicate Track" which will do just that, create an exact copy of the selected track, effects & all. Works for me.

That will work fine, obviously, although it's not as flexible when it comes to easy offsetting of the track, and it places the track directly underneath the source each time - not necessarily where you want it at all!
