Hi,
I was working on adobe auditions CC all day today, I minimized it, and set it aside for a few hours to do other things. When I came back to it, and tried to press the playback button to hear my podcast, the play button won't move. The seconds don't move forward, that blue back attached to the red line doesnt move-- nothing moves!
Does someone please have any idea what happened?
Thank you.

Yes. The usual thing that stops Audition playing is loss of connection to your audio interface. It is very likely that something else on your computer stole the audio driver whilst you were away (Windows email announcement sound for instance). It will sort itself out if you close then open Audition again. However if you don't want to do that you can go to Audition's Audio Hardware preferences and try changing the settings and then back to what you originally had. This will usually re-establish the audio drivers connection to your sound card and make Audition Play again.
Also to stop it happening in the future make sure that you turn off Windows sounds in the Windows Sounds setting page. However if you are going to leave Audition for a while it is always best to save your audio/session and close Audition down. Then reopen it when you come back to it later.
