Question

Playback does not update to reflect changes unless I stop and start again

When I am playing audio in a mutlitrack session and I use the mute or solo buttons, they have no effect unless I stop the playback and hit play again, in which case I will hear tracks solo'd or muted.

Also, when adjust EQ parameters or effects, I hear no change in the audio unless I stop the playback and press play again. This even applies to disabling the preview of an effect. It makes it almost impossible to sweep for frequencies or do anything in real time.

I have the problem in both version 11 and even CS6, which is also installed on my system.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

It doesn't do that here - it works fine. If you've had this problem across multiple versions (and I don't recall anybody else mentioning this particular one), then I have to say that I'm just a bit suspicious of your computer...

When you hit the 'mute' button on a track, does it immediately go grey, or does nothing happen at all?

All appear to function as expected when playing back Multitrack audio on my Win 7 PC with CC2018. Is it the same on all tracks? How many tracks do you have and do you have lots of effects in each track's Effects Rack? Are you trying to adjust EQ with the channel EQ or effects plugins? Are you using any third party VST plugins?
