Hi All
This is kinda strange. We are recording with a Rode NT1-A mic and a PreSonus AudioBox iTwo and an iMac. The first recording session we recorded in Garageband and the playback levels were fine. Loud and crisp. The second recording session we recorded with Audition (build 14.4.0.38) and it was very quiet at playback. Cranking stereo to max and it is still soft.
Keeping all things the same we tested back with Garageband and it was fine.
The recording levels while recording were set approprietly on both.
I have confirmed system requirements and all the device settings and it appears OK. Updated drivers.
Any thoughts?

Were you recording in Waveform or Multitrack view?

Hi SteveG
We were recording in Wavform.
I just tried recording in Multitrack and no sound was picked up. It did pick up in Waveform.

Well it's a Mac and I don't use one of those, but... does the recorded waveform reach anywhere near 0dB at the peaks? If it doesn't, initially you need to use the Normalize effect (Effects>Amplitude and Compression>Normalize) set to -1dB and fix the waveform so that it does. If it still plays back quietly, then you need to look at the audio settings in your Mac - and that's the bit that I'm afraid I can't help you with.
You will only be able to record in Multitrack view if you've set up the inputs correctly. Don't worry about that at present.

Thanks. the levels are fine. Even if i push up in the red it is still quiet.
Currently i cannot record in multitrack at all.
Garageband works fine with the current apple settings so not sure if it is that.
Strange. Thanks for your help.
