Audition April 2018 Release

Love the new cover art option added to the Metadata Panel!

I know it is possible to customize the Metadata Display, but is there any way to save the populated ID3 tag information to re-use from podcast to podcast or to Import the ID3 tags from a previous episode?

This new feature is awesome either way but would be nice not have to re-populate some of the fields every time like cover art, artist, copyright/URL...or just copy from an already tagged file.

Cheers,

Mike

None of the above from within Audition AFAIAA I'm afraid. However there are loads of id3 metadata editors from third parties. I use MetadataTouch. Not free but very useful if you are having to deal with a lot of files or metadata.

Yes, I use ID3 Tag Editor and it works fine. I am able to load tags from the previous episode but would love to eliminate the step and do it all in Audition. Probably just a matter of time. As a podcaster, it's nice to see all the updates trickling out. My fingers are crossed for an iPad version!

https://www.mp3tag.de/en/ seems to come highly recommended but there's a list of others here: https://www.lifewire.com/free-tools-for-editing-song-information-2438490

I am working with the audio files which already contain ID3 tags. In Waveform view under Metadata, I can clearly see that the ID3 tags are intact. However, when I bring files into Multitrack, the tags are automatically removed.

Can this be avoided? One can always redo the ID3 tagging manually in Multitrack. However, this would mean starting from scratch which would waste a huge amount of time. Plus, I'm editing thousands of files at a time.
