Weeks ago I was working on editing a podcast and remember stretching the clips to save time. Revisiting the project I was ready "unstretch" the files in the multi-track view to bring the speed back to 100%. However, when I revert the stretch setting back to normal it still sped up. It appears that audition made the new 100% stretch setting the default and now I have to start all over again.
I'm not sure what caused this. I was splitting and merging clips - cutting out pauses and such, maybe this is what caused it?

If you select a particular clip and then go to the properties window (Alt+3) and then select the 'Stretch' settings and for Mode select 'Off' it should unstretch the clip

That's the thing, when I do that nothing changes.

Can you send me the sesx and one of the wav files for one of the clips that exhibit this behaviour?

I found the reason why this happened. If you stretch a file then delete gap and merge, it saved the track at the speed and the only way to undo is to undo the merging.

Yep, that will do it every time 😉
