I've spent decades ensuring every photo I took had keywords and other XMP data so I could find it again when I needed it.  I allowed Adobe Bridge to update to version 14.01.137 and now it's deleted ALL XMP data! Even the date created and modified has bogus dates in those fields.

Anyone find a cure for this or am I recreating starting from scratch? Is there an alternate for Adaibe Bridge?

Hi, @DouglasBurrell, just to confirm one important thing, Please click on an image you KNOW to have keyword(s). Next, go to File menu and on the very bottom is "File info… Please select that.

Here is a screenshot of what I see when I click on one of my images and what I see in File info. I'm not saying what happened to you didn't happen, but it's really hard for me to see how updating an application can change all of the images that have been touched by that application.

What is more likely to have happened is that your log of Keywords was not picked up by the update.

Are you on Mac or PC?

Oh, one more thing: IF you're on a Mac, this is the pathway to where keywords are stored, so go into a previous version's keywords, drag them into this year's Bridge, restart Bridge (if running), or start Bridge, and see if everything is back to where you want/need them.
