Dear All,

I was reading that Adobe Bridge 2022 is now free for all. I a DAM Specialist and want to start using bridge for my asset management. what does the free version offers (For example, bulk editing metadata of RAW and Edited Footage and stills? bulk renaming?)

and what does the paid version offers in terms of Media Management?

Thanks!

Yes, Adobe Bridge is 'free' (You do require a 'free' account from Adobe).

Adobe Bridge is NOT a DAM App. It is more of a powerful File Browser for Photo assets.

Adobe Bridge will Rename files, and add Keywords (Tags), but it does not come with the full version of Adobe Camera Raw (unless you subscribe to a Plan with Photoshop.)

A "paid" Version of a DAM App would be Adobe Lightroom-Classic available in the 'Photography Plan' that also includes

You can keyword images and organize them, basically the difference with a subscription is access to Camera RAW editing (and extras like cloud storage tiers and more fonts.)

Thanks!, when trying to use Camera RAW, it says I need a subscription for Photoshop. does the subcription for bridge include the Camera RAW inside the bridge? or it should be related to photoshop license as mentioned.

and what about videos (Edited and RAW), can we have both metadata edited using bridge?

Thanks!

Adobe has various plans, you'd want to look at those to decide which works best for you.

You can always test with your preferred video formats, support may vary depending on container and codec.
