Adobe Bridge 2023 recent folders bug

Since the 2023 update my workflow is hampered by change in folder behaviour. I often right click on an image in folder view and select "Copy To" which displays a list of Recent folder to pick from, and a "Choose folder" option at the bottom. It used to add the folder I selected in "Choose folder" to the Recent list but not longer does. Add to that the annoyance that each time I start Bridge and select "Choose folder" it goes back to the c:\Progam File.... folder by default and doesn't remmeber the last used. Both slowing me down no end - why have these features been removed?

OK have been unable to find a resolution to this so will no longer be using Bridge. Have found an alternative free product Faststone Image Viewer that does exactly what I need.

I do what you're trying to do all the time, but I do use a different approach. Here's what I do:

I have a folder selected in a Content Tab (call it Folder A) and the other folder in a second Content Tab (call it Folder B). As I'm working in Folder A on an image that's ready for Folder B, I mouse-down on that file(s) and drag it up to the Top of the Content Panel over the name of Folder B. When Folder B becomes active, I move the mouse down over the content region and let go. Then I switch back to Folder A to continue whatever editing or selection I need. This is easy, and there are no issues.

Could this work for you?

I went to update my Bridge, says it's up to date, but most definitely wants to teach me not to use the recent files list and causes trouble. Is there a way to delete that list? And the fact the the place I want to copy file to is my desktop and it can't do it is pretty lame. So no, it's not fixed here, yet. Please have another look somebody?

Here's one easy workaround: put your current destination folder(s) in your Favorites; then it's easy enough to drag files into that from the Lightbox or Filmstrip views. I really hope they fix this in the next update. It's annoying to have one's entire workflow turned upside down by what I suspect is busywork to keep Adobe's software engineers from being idle.
