We are happy to announce the release of Adobe Bridge Beta (13.0.4)
We have been tracking the issues reported on the latest release version of Bridge and have been working on fixing those issues.
With this Beta release, we're fixing many top customer-reported issues in the area of File Operations, Workspaces, Folder & Filter Panels, File Info Dialogue, Metadata, Collection, Scripts, Preview, and a few more.
Also, we are hearing your requests about reintroducing Multiple Bridge windows. This Beta release does not include this requested feature, but the Bridge team is working on it, analyzing the use cases, and constructing an appropriate action plan. Please stay tuned.
This Beta release also includes several bug fixes done in the 13.0.3 public release. Please let us know if any fixes are not working well for you.
Steps to install/update
Install: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app and select Beta apps in the left sidebar of the Apps panel. Then select install for your beta app.
Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app, click on Update in the left sidebar of the Apps panel, and Check for updates. Then click update for your beta app.
Note: As always, the update will be rolled out incrementally. If you do not see the update in the Creative Cloud Desktop app, please wait for a couple of days till we release the Beta update to all users
Fixed Issues:
File Operations
- Unable to work on Bridge while Copy/Move operation is in progress
Workspace
- Reset button in the output workspace does not work after switching the workspace
- Reset to saved layout changes the folder of the active Content panel for the custom workspace
- Window size isn't saved when saving changes to the workspace
- Size and position issues encountered in the case of migrated workspace
Filter Panel
- Scroller position isn't moved to the selected node with filter for keywords workflow
- Bridge hangs while browsing a large number of raw files when the Filter panel is open
- In the case of the multi-content tab, the Filter panel goes blank if the other Content panel is closed
- Folder navigation jumps to the top while dragging or dropping a file/folder in the Folders panel
- Purge cache operation from the Tools menu takes the folder scroller to the top of the screen
- Cut from the Folder panel does not remove the folder from its original location [Win]
- Description and keywords fields don't wrap properly
- Show Error Log preference does not stick when checked
- Description field does not grow for longer text while editing the Metadata template
- Copyright Status field isn't getting saved while editing the Metadata template
- Metadata tooltip covers the thumbnail while hovering
- File is duplicated after being renamed
- ScriptUI.newFont() does not give effect
- No Script UI square button
- Preview disappears from the Preview panel while launching Bridge and switching workspace [Mac]
Others
- Export to PDF save window closes with direction buttons [Mac ARM]
- Rotate shortcut 'U' does not work in the German version
- Pressing "-" in the Content panel does not select the file if the file name contains "-" [Mac]
- Bridge scrolls to the first thumbnail on deleting any item in the Content panel
- CPU usage remains high while using Bridge
- Closing the search bar in the Content panel loses the selection of files
- Bridge crashes on quit after selecting the audio/video files [Mac]
- Smooth scrolling experience [Mac]
- Bridge hangs for a few seconds on quickly selecting a video file after the launch
- Redundant tooltips for some of the Preferences buttons
