We are happy to announce the release of Adobe Bridge Beta (14.0.0.57)
What's new with this Beta release?
Multi-window
Exciting news! The highly anticipated multi-window feature is making a comeback in this Beta release! You can open multiple windows of Bridge using your favorite keyboard shortcut, 'Ctrl+N' (Windows) or 'CMD+N' (Mac); alternatively, you can access the 'New Window' option from the File menu.
For every extra Bridge window, you'll see a unique 'Secondary' label at the top left of the UI and added to the Application Title. This labeling allows you to differentiate between the primary and Secondary Bridge windows.
If you work with floating panels (introduced in the Previous version of Bridge), it's essential to know that secondary Bridge windows do not support floating panels. However, you can still arrange the panels within the Application UI and fully customize the workspace to suit your specific requirements.
Keyboard Shortcut Customization
Now you can access/view/edit keyboard shortcuts, navigate to the "Edit" menu, and select "Keyboard Shortcuts." Within the keyboard shortcuts interface, you can quickly check which keys have been assigned to specific functions and identify those available for assignment. You can even select a keyboard layout from various predefined options for different regions worldwide. Refer to the Keyboard Shortcut customisation workflow for detailed step-by-step information.
Compress (Zip) / Extract (Unzip)
We have added support for compress(zip) and extract(unzip) functionality in Bridge. The option is available by right-clicking the context menu and the File menu.
.
Place in Adobe Substance 3D Stager
We have now extended the support for transferring the asset files directly from Bridge to Adobe Substance 3D Stager. To place a file in Adobe Substance 3D Stager, right-click on the supported file, and select Place > In Adobe Substance 3D Stager.
Toggle caption in Full Screen View
You can now use the keyboard shortcut ’C’ to toggle the visibility of the caption (filename, label & rating) in the Fullscreen mode
Export now supports the .jpg file extension
Added support for the .jpg extension for export. Users can export the file in .jpg/.jpeg file extension for export and workflow builder.
Other enhancements
All menu options are exposed for customization through custom keyboard shortcuts, e.g., No Label, Sorting options, Reset to Saved Layout, etc.
