Hi updated to latest version and got this message on opening "“Adobe Bridge 2025” is damaged and can’t be opened."" Help anyone?

Hi Vince. I discovered the problem was Macs security settings. It would not allow the upgrade to run saying it was corrupted.  Solution: Settings > Privacy & Security > Security - "Allow applications from" . This was blocking the upgrade from running insisting it was corrupted. I allowed the application (Bridge) and its run perfrctly since.

This just happened to me. (Mac OS 26.4, Mac Studio Pro) Uninstalled Bridge several times, Uninstalled Adobe Cloud, Installed Bridge from Cloud, tried the “Controlled, option shift”, no window, tried the Terminal options, didn't work. I am ticked, wasted all morning trying to resolve the issue. Apple keeps changing the setting allowing to automatically update my Mac and I have to continually turn it off. Bridge will not open

You can manually move the preferences, there are files in your User Application Support and Preferences folders, and then give it a try.

Thank you very much. It took me a bit to figure out what you were telling me. So for those that now run into this issue I have inserted an image of the Privacy & Security menu. Under Security it said something like “Apple has blocked Adobe Bridge because Apple could not verify the download company” I had to change the setting to allow it to open and then everything worked. I am going to write to Apple and tell them I am going to start charging  them a per hour rate for waisted time figuring out wha they are doing to my system.

Why on earth doesn't Adobe fix this stupid bug? It's happened to me twice now. Super annoying. Counter intuitive. Certainly worth the $60/month I pay for the full set of apps.

Have you tried refreshing your preferences:

Just before clicking on Bridge in the Dock or double-clicking the application for the Mac, press Command-Option-Shift. For PCs, press Control-Alt-Shift. Then open Bridge BUT KEEP your fingers on those keys until you see a window pop up. From the window, the options are: “Reset Preferences" and "Purge All Local Cache Files.” In your case, check both of them.

Thanks Gary, if it happens again, I'll try that.

I have exactly the same problem, screen shot is the same. What does the greyed out part of the message mean, (This file was downloaded on unknown date)

Seems to have started with the latest update on my 2019 27" Imac.

Working fine up until then

Hi Paul.

Thanks for your reply.

When I open Settings>Privacy & Security>Security I only have these 2 options, nothing else.

See screen shot.

Vince
