Which OS are you using.

When you say cannot open, exactly what happens? Nothing? Error message? opens and crashes?

I have Mac OS Catalina Version 10.15.7 and I have the same problem. I can download and install an then it starts an gives me the information to check with the customer service and the error code 205. I click ok and it close all Bridge immediately.

I uninstalled several times but it does not work to fix.

Could somebody help to fix the problem.

Thanks Sandra

The error code is written somewhere with firewall etc but I do not have any firewall

Did you modify your Bridge app permissions in the OS Utilities app?

Have you gotten a good answer yet? I tried this four months ago and got 'support' which did not work and I cancelled my subscription. Now I am trying again and same thing is happening. Supposedly they updated my Windows and that was supposed to help but it did not. I am about to give up again.

Your on a windows OS?

Create a new user account.

Login under that new account.

See if Bridge will run.

If it does, you have a permissions issue.

Another thing to check.

Find the command prompt app in the control panel

R-click the app and select "run as as administrator"

type SFC /scannow ar the cursor and let it run.

You could have corrupt system files.

There are thousands of copies of Bridge installed world wide.

Your machine and the OS are the issue. Its very hard to determine at times what system file or OS setting is causing the problem.

Start with those suggestions and report back to the forum.

Hi there,

The fact that many many folks are using these applications with no issues gives rise the issue is not necessarily caused by Adobe. Becuase of that, it's not necessarily something that Adobe can tweak and suddenly things work. That notwithstanding, obviously something is wrong and that is preventing you from getting your work done. That's not right.

Have you tried the Adobe Cleaner Tool?

https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

I'm going to guess that there's something in your system got flummoxed with an Adobe product and that remains in your system no matter how many times you install and re-install.

I suggest you first read the guidelines and instructions on the page I link to above and then download and run this tool. It will remove EVERYTHING Adobe from your system and then you can reinstall any products you want.

I used this maybe 8–10 years ago and it did solve a problem I was having. No issues since.

Please try it and good luck!
