Br>Tools>Ps>ImageProcessorPro missing from menu

I've had a heck of a time since updating Ps. I lost my access to Image Processor Pro via the Tools menu in Bridge. I used it daily to save jpegs of different sizes all at once.

Been round in countless circles, moving files about, installing, uninstalling etc

I accessed the IPPro files from both Soundforge & Dr.Brown & tried both in caase one was corrupted.

Can anyone clarify the issues (other than not being officially supported by Adobe)?

I have 2024 versions so the paths are a little different than in the manual install pdf instructions

Yes remove the files highlighted below and read the install instructions for the ImageProcessorPro-3_2b5 from source forge carefully.

The paths should be the same as described in the instructions for both the ImageProcessorPro-3_2b5 and Dr Brown's Services 2.3.1 sans the version of Photoshop/Bridge

 

The only scripts that go into any other folder other than Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2024/Presets/Scripts are the the

photoshop_ximage_processor_pro.jsx that goes in Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Photoshop and Dr Brown Services.jsx that goes in Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Bridge 2024.

 

The other items

Image Processor Pro.jsx

Image Processor Pro.xml

icons folder

Image Processor Pro folder

go into

Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2024/Presets/Scripts

    Thank you, but my file installation paths are a little different (see 3 screenshots attached) as per the described workaround in my original post  . 

    Would you say to delete all of the above prior to following the instructions for a new IPPro install. including the original Image Processor (not Pro) that shipped with Ps?

    You can try this here.

    It won't put the Image Processor Pro on the Photoshop Tools menu, however it will get you access to the Image Processor Pro under Tools>Dr Brown's Services 2.3.1

     

    Download and install the ImageProcessorPro-3_2b5.zip from here:

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/ps-scripts/files/Image%20Processor%20Pro/v3_2%20betas/

     

    Then download the DR BROWNS SERVICES INSTALLER under CS6/CC Adobe Photoshop Panels & Actions from here:

    https://russellbrown.com/scripts.html

     

    Unzip the Services_Installer_2.3.1.zip, go into the Manual_Installation folder and copy the Dr Brown Services.jsx

    to Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CC/Adobe Bridge 2024

     

    Now in Bridge 2024 go to Tools>Dr Brown's Services 2.3.1 and you should see Image Processor Pro listed.

      Thank you for these steps. 
      What do I do with all the files in various places I've already installed - locate and delete all of them first?

      Or is it better to uninstall and reinstall Ps?

      Kinda scary because since updating the OS, Ps & Br things went awry and its taken me 3 days to get it working again except for the one glitch described above where the progress bars don't close sfter processing. 
      Is this going to happen after each OS &/or Ps update in the future?

      Here's a workaround that I found.

      So far so good. But I'm no expert & your mileage may vary.

       

      1. Locate the exising (original) .jsx file and hide it by changing the extension for example *.hidethis.

      HD>Apps>Ps2024>Presets>Scripts

      2. Find the Image Processor Pro.jsx that you want to use (it's around 327kb). Copy/Paste it into the location of the original in Step 1.

      3. Rename it to Image Processor.jsx - drop the Pro

      4. Copy/Paste it into - HD>Library>App Support>Adobe>Bridge 2024 Extensions

      5. Bridge>Settings> Startup scripts - image processor is un-checked

      6. It runs from bothPs>File>Automate & from Bridge>Tools>Ps where it is called Image Processor but is actually Pro

       

      *One small glitch that is different from how it used to work before I had my debacle is that after you select a group of files and IPP processes them, there a progress bar/window that says for example  'processing 1 or 2 or 3 of 3 files' and this is followed by another little window saying 'initializing'. These don't close automatically but need to be closed manually. LOve to fix this if anyone knows

      You have to follow the install directions exactly. Create folders if they don't exist already.
