Bridge 13 Full Screen Preview & Review Mode

Explorer ,
Oct 19, 2022 Oct 19, 2022

With the previous version of Bridge when I would open an image in Full Screen Preview or more images in Review Mode a new window would appear and remain open even if I ALT+TAB thru the opened windows. That way I could capture the window in a screenshot and use it in another app. Now when I press ALT+TAB all I get is the main Bridge window, the Full Screen Preview is missing.

I can still use the Snip & Sketch tool and capture the window, but it's an extra step. Any advice?

Hi @onny_kitty ,

Thanks for your feedback. I hope you are talking about the widgets visible during alt+tab option to switch windows. In earlier version, it used to show 2 widgets (one for main Bridge window and one for full screen) but both of those opens full screen view. Now in latest Bridge 13.0 , it only show one widget (Bridge main window) which will open full screen view. So there will be no impact.

But if you are facing any different issue, Could you share the following details about the issue:

  • Bridge version
  • System configuration

Please share the video recording of the issue you are observing at sharewithbr@adobe.com

Thanks,
Bridge Team

Hello,

I am talking about the 2 widgets visible during alt+tab option. Is there any way to still have an option to have both widgets? As I explained before I was using the full screen widget to capture a screenshot and use it in another app.

Hello,

With the latest version the issue has gotten even worst. If I open the Full Screen Preview when I exit the Full Screen preview Bridge will crash. At this moment I can't work with it.

Hello,

  • Bridge Version: latest (14.0.0.102)
  • System details: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045
  • Is the issue specific to particular file/format? All the files act the same

In previous verions of Bridge (12 and older) when I pressed the space bar I would get a full screen preview of the image (file) just like this:

1. Full view.png

Then when I would press WIN+TAB I there would be two windows: one with the full screen preview and one with the Bridge window. Like this:

2. Bridge 12.png

Ever since Bridge 13 the full screen window has dissapeared:

3. Bridge 14.png

Last year I was told that the team able to reproduce the issue and is investigating...

I know this is an old post but - I am also noticing the issue where it doesnt' record Bridge as I move through pages in full screen mode.

I tried to capture my screen in Bridge in full screen mode to using the arrow keys scroll through the pages of a book i am designing and make a video of it - but the resulting screen recording is of the static home screen window of Bridge. is there a reason it wont capture what I am actually seeing on my screen when bridge is in full screen mode?

Hi, @TheLuminous8623, I'm not sure I understand, what do you mean "…record Bridge as I move through the pages…?"

Bridge has no recording capability. Are you trying to capture the procession of the images with a third-party screencapture application? What are you referring to?

Thanks,

I am trying to use the game bar screen recording function in Windows to
capture what I am seeing in Bridge (which is set to a full screen view of a
book I am working on.) But it just records the main window of Bridge.

Ah, @TheLuminous8623, that will help one of the Windows-based support folks help you. I'm one of the Mac-based help folks, and I have no background in that.

Someone will come along soon to help, thanks for the extra information; that will help them help you.
