Bridge 2020 Crashes Despite Having Reset Preferences and Workspaces MULTIPLE TIMES
I updated all my CC apps last week (13 November, 2019) and all of them have been working fine except Bridge. The first time I attempted to use it after the update, it opened and closed in the blink of an eye. No error message, no anything. Just there and gone.
When restarting Bridge, I held Ctrl+Alt+Shift to reset the Preferences. I also reset my Workspaces. Bridge opened but as soon as I navigated to a different folder or attempted to open a Photoshop or Illustrator file, it crashed again. No error message, it was just gone.
I attempted to reopen the app only to have it open and close immediately (no error message, just there and gone again). Again I reset the Preferences and Workspaces to get it to open. I opened a few files, navigated to a few folders before it crashed AGAIN.
The only way I can get Bridge to successfully open, not necesarily function, is to reset the Preference and Workstapces. For two days, I have had to reset my Preferences and Workspaces so many times I have lost count. It is the only way I can get the app to open and allow me to do a few things before it crashes again.
WHAT IS GOING ON???? This is not the way I expect any app to work much less one I use every day and almost always have open.
I am running Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit (version 1809, installed 11/1/2019, OS build 17763.805) on a Dell Latitude 7490 with 16 GB of RAM.
What else can I do? I am ready to go back and install Bridge 2019 since it worked properly without crashing every few minutes.
Thanks in advance,
Gilley
