Any suggestions ??
Thanks for your help !

What is your OS (and what release)?
Which version of Bridge are you using? The current release is Beta 13.0.2.630

Hi Gary,
thanks for your reply!
I am on a Windows PC running Win10 HomePro.
I am useing the latest version "non Beta" of Bridge I could download, which is 13.0.1
Do you suggest trying the Beta-Version you mentioned ??
Best regards
Stefan

Yes, absolutely. The release version #13, was released far too early and had many bugs. To speed things up, the Bridge team is releasing beta versions to the community as fas as they can prepare them. As they are Beta versions, Adobe is hoping that people recognize that these are not a final release. Nonetheless, they are significantly better that each preceding version. These are meant to be used, go use them.

Hello Gary,
thanks again for your advice.
I just installed the Beta-Version 13.0.2 from the Creative Cloud. Still nothing changed in the behavior of the program. It can not be opened. Neither as a stand alone applikation nor out of a perfect running Photoshop.
Beside the PS and Bridge 2023 I have an older Version of PS and Bridge (CS 5) installed on my machine which I am useing for educational purposes. Both are running like they should. Even this installation not being new (installed long before the Bridge 2023 Problem) , may this cause the problem ??

Hi Gary,
i could solve the problem ! - Still do not know exactly where it came from. I tried to uninstall the older Bridge -Version I am useing in parallel together with the PS5 and the Uninstaller-Programm refused to work, until I will close Bridge. But Bridge was not open at this time. With Task-Manager and List of active Programms I searched for "the old Bridge" and could not find it nowhere. Only in the list of aliases for the Start-Menu Bridge was still there. I deleted this alias too an startete Bridge2023 without Problem. It even recovered my settings from the recent installation.
I am very glad the the Programm ist running again.
Thanks again
Stefan

Hi @sgsteinbach, Ah, you are using Windows.
For basic Bridge usage and dynamics, I can help most people, but when it comes to Task Manager dynamics, I am a babe in the wood.
If you solved this (and it sounds like you have), congratulations.
FWIW, I'm surprised and impressed that you can run CS5 AND the latest applications from Adobe. CS5 was released just shy of 13 years ago. That's a very long span for one computer to be running that range of software dates. Do you think that might be part of your issue?

The same here.
Windows 11 and all current updates.
Have now installed the 12.4 version and it works.
I am very disappointed about the updates that are thrown out for years.
Unfortunately I can't find an automatic file type asssotiation in Bridge either. As soon as I install another PS version and then remove it, the PS file type asssotiation is also removed.
After that PS is no longer available in the list.
