Bridge CC Won't Start

Hello. Have 2 computers, one with Windows 7 and Photoshop CC. Bridge opens, no problem. Have a new computer with Photoshop CC, and Bridge CC will not start. Please do not suggest any changes to Preferences, purging cache and so on, as when I click the Bridge icon or attempt to browse Bridge within Photoshop CC, the hour glass icon appears for a half second, and then nothing. Thanks, Jim.

Hello. Well I took the time to create a new user, which took about 10

minutes with my slow connection, thinking all the time what a waste, but

all I can say is THANKS, because it worked! Now since you are obviously a

lot smarter than me, please explain to me with my first user account,

Photoshop and Lightroom would work and not Bridge? It is good for me to

learn from people like you. Thanks many times over, Jim.

Smarter because I learned the same way you did.

I often tell people to create a separate extra user account because things can break with one account.

I suggest that  people create a separate "local" user account as a back door into their OS.

a "local" account does not require a Internet login verification.

as to your situation something got buggered up in the windows user profile you have.

could be as simple as a register error. could be a elevated permission error as windows tries to run the application.

Adobe is not the only one has has these issues. You might want to un-install Bridge , run a registry cleaner like CCleaner, reboot and reinstall Bridge.

Or you could start using your new user account and save the other login as a back door.

Try R-clicking the Bridge icon and select "run as administrator" and see if that helps.

You are having a permissions issue.

Still think its a permissions error.

Can you create a new user ... login under new user and try to run the apps?
