Bridge CS5 Import from iPhone 6s and no updates possible

New Here ,
Oct 27, 2017 Oct 27, 2017

Hello,

i have an iPhone 6s with iOS 11.0.3 and my Bridge CS5 4.0.5.11 can not detect the camera on macOS 10.11.6.

So i can not import pictures with Adobe Bridge

I looked for an update for Bridge and there is one for the Adobe Extension Manager CS5 - but it is not possible to download the update.

The error message shows me, that I should try it again later but that doesn´t work anyway.

What can I do?

Thank you for your help.

At some point in the past (I don't know the exact date) Adobe "merged" the original update manager into the Cloud update manager, which means you are no longer using your original update manager

I have read some messages that the latest (Cloud) updater sometimes doesn't work with old programs... Try installing your updates manually

Updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

If the above doesn't work, this may simply be a case of an old program that doesn't work with a new device

Hi Benjamin,

We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2018) on 18 Oct 2017. The new version build number is 8.0.0.262. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

You may need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer to see the updated installer.

Thanks,

Saurabh Verma

Hi saurabh,

thank you! I didn´t know, that Bridge CC is for free. I thought i have to buy it. The Bridge CS5 was part from my Design Standard CS5 Collection. Now everything works fine.

John T Smith Thanks for your answer, that is also a new information for me.
