Bridge do not display HVEC (H256) video thumbnails, installed 3rd party (K-Lite) codecs etc, nothing worked up to now.

Any ideas how to resolve, or if HVEC is not supported is there an alternative software to Bridge?

Hey there,

As you already know, the Bridge does not support preview/playback of H.265 video formats.

Hi,
Yes I read that old posts that H.265 was not supported. I just expected it to be resolved in the last 5 years!.

What use is a browsing tool when you can not see thumbnails of a very common video format?
If you google it, there are many discussions on what alternative software to use because of this problem.
You are just losing the edge

Hi @roger_9703 ,

Thank you for reporting the issue to us. We’ve added this to our engineering issue pipeline.

its there any update on this? h.265 is almost universal at this point. Now industry and people are starting to move over to AV1. At this rate when the problem is fixed everyone will be on AV1 and bridge will still be behind the times. Its these small papercuts that seriously compound to make bridge a really sour product. It could be the go-to product for many, but these hurdles consistently trip up users since they are expected and basic functionality of almost every other competitor, basic file system, and related products.
