Bridge Downloader Does not see ORF files again, still, ever, no solution

Despite years of posts Bridge, updated yesterday, still does not recognize ORF files on SD cards for downloading.

Turning off the GPU acceleration, a work around for the consistent high quality of Adobe programming, does not work--shock of shocks.

The files are all read by Windows 10 Explorer and Mac Finder so its pretty obvious where the problem is.

As I have sorted to a hard drive downloads from other cameras using the Bridge downloader it is inconvenient, to say the least, to have to manually parse Olympus downloads.

Is there a solution or just stop using Adobe for downloading files from other cameras as well?

One workaround (I know that's not a solution) is to use the DNG Converter, as my guess is that actually handles many more raw formats. But you'd still need to get a way to get the raw files of your camera in the first place... once they are in DNG format, at least you have access to the raw data, and the files will display and preview in Adobe Bridge.

NOTE:

I have added an Enhancement request to adobe bridge user voice about this feature request. You can add your vote... the more votes, the more likely it is the engineering team will take a serious look at an enhancement:

Type "Enhancement photo downloader" to see the feature request I've submitted and add your vote to it. The full title is: Enhancement photo downloader. Support for more file formats, such as ORF.
