Bridge interface pixelated under Sierra

Explorer ,
Jun 13, 2017 Jun 13, 2017

Hello

I did a clean install of Sierra yesterday on my 13" retina Macbook Pro 2013 and reinstalled CS6 Photoshop and Bridge.

The text in menus, file names etc in Bridge is very pixelated. I'm quite sure that this was not the case under El Capitan. There are no updates to be installed. The display is scaled (as was the case under El Cap) to 1440x800.

Is this due to Sierra somehow?

Thank you in advance

Philip

Hi Philip,

The native resolution of the 13" Retina Display is 2560 x 1600. HiDPI support is added to Photoshop 13.1 (Membership Edition) and 13.0.2 for Mac OS perpetual license customers. Camera Raw 8.1 adds HiDPI support under Photoshop CS6 as well.

So make sure that you at least have Camera Raw 8.1 installed. Check for updates in Photoshop CS6 (Help>Updates).

This is how Bridge looks (100% crop, only saved for web in Photoshop CS6). Even the image previews are pixelated (I have purged cache but it doesn't change anything).

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Thanks Akash. Well, running the 13" screen at the native setting makes the interface TINY so, no, that doesn't help. I find it surprising that Adobe has chosen such a piecemeal implementation of retina support. As a private individual I have no interest at all in becoming a software subscriber.
