Bridge jumps down to the bottom of the window after re-naming batch

Why does Bridge jump to the bottom of the window after renaming a batch? 

It is confusing and distracting to stop and locate the newly renamed photographs, especially when there is a large batch. 

The view options are set to sort by Date Created. Does Bridge take it upon itself to reset the view options to something—who knows what—so they end up at the bottom of the window? Please fix this, as this multi-automatic unwanted action occurs repeatedly while renaming batch photographs.
