As the title says...
I am using a macbook air. M1 - 2020. Running Ventura 13.2
I've already tried purging my preferences, reshreshing previews, reinstalled both bridge and photoshop, nothing happens. This is the prompt I get when attempting to open a jpg, "could not open 'FILE' because a jpeg marker segment length is too short (the file may be truncated or incomplete)."
The only current solution is to right click, open with preview, then the thumbnail generates and I am able to open in PS. I handle hundreds of files a day and this is not ideal.
Both Bridge and PS are up to date according to Creative Cloud. I have found nothing online to solve this.

I can see no reason why Bridge and/or PS should not be able to work with a JPG image. Is this with ALL JPG images or only a few?
Can you please share the image here (or DM me and share it with me privately).

Can you display a JPG in your Mac's "Preview" app?

Oh, and are all of these JPGs created by you? If so, what kind of camera?

Have you tried displaying them in Preview?
And yes, it could be a DropBox issue. Bridge is infamous with not always working with networks or servers. It was designed for use to be used on local and connected drives. It "MAY" work with cloud services on one day and may not on the next.
Please try with Preview and let me know what you see. But it sounds like there is an issue with using DropBox. You may need to experiment.
