Bridge or Lightroom CC NOT sorting by Date Created

New Here ,
Apr 15, 2019 Apr 15, 2019

I am running Bridge on multiple iMacs of varying ages. All of them had no issues until very recently with sorting images by Date Created. Now none of the computers will do the sorting.

Additionally, I cannot Add or Replace Metadata in Bridge or Lightroom CC on any of the machines, either.

Adobe - please fix this problem.

I moved this from Adobe Creative Cloud to Bridge where you are more likely to get a proper response.

This is a user-to-user forum, btw, with some staff participation.

Please give the system info on the Macs, the OS version, and the version of Photoshop.

Also, although I can add metadata in Lightroom, it also does NOT sort by Date Created.

We handle a lot of weddings every week - sorting multiple cameras by D/T on an event is essential - manual sort is just too time consuming.

Thanks for your help.

There doesn't seem to be any useful response coming on this.

I could see that, if it was some 'user' problem - but this is spread over several machines, and I think it needs a real response from Adobe.

I have been paying for my subscription (not to mention a number of full price copies of Photoshop over the years) for quite awhile, and I think having the program function correctly isn't too much to ask.

How to I get this in front of someone who can address the problem?

iMac 3 runs OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 : 2.66 ghz / i5 : 16gb 1333mhz DDR 3

The oldest machine, from 2009.

All computers having the same issues, clearly not a hardware problem.

Lightroom Classic CC or Lightroom CC? I have problems with none (Lr CC on an iPad however).

Bridge saves sort order in a hidden file. Permissions problems that prevent that file from being created could cause this. You said you can't change metadata either? Where are these files stored? And why are you still on El Cap? Its no longer getting security updates.
