Bridge ver8.1 "Get Photos" Doesn't Work

When I set Bridge ver8.1 to "start at login", "get photos from camera" doesn't work. It does nothing. I have to close and restart Bridge to make it work. Or turn off "start at login", run Bridge after boot, where it occasionally locks up for a while, and then "get photos". Resetting preferences and clearing cache does not fix. Any ideas?

EDIT: Apparently, it also happens sporadically; even after it had been working before.

PC Specs:

• Windows 10 Pro

• Intel i7-8700 3.20GHz

• 32Gb RAM

• Nvidia GTX1050Ti 4Gb

• OS and Adobe Apps installed on SSD, working documents on separate HDD

Correct answer ScottJ53

"Start Bridge at login" just seems inherently buggy for both v8.1 and v9.0.1. Turning it on causes multiple issues, so I turned it off. I'm no longer having these issues.
