Is there a way to run the "package" system in bulck on .indd or .prproj files?
We have a few years of .indd files that we wanted to package and archive for refrence. Some from contractors, some from in house etc. I know that Indesign had a "package" feature were we can collect all the assets for a project in a bundel and move it around as one object. But with years of projects to collect I was hoping that bridge would be able to do some bulck packing rather than having to open each project and run the package dialog.
What do y'all do for bulk archiving?

AS far as I know, it's not an option in Bridge (it's an option individually in PS, Illustrator and Indesign)
That's would be great though (I never ever think of it 🙂 )
What I usually do is gather everything at the end of a job and back it up. But also, I don't work as part of a team, I work as a solo freelance, so once the files are provided for a client, my back-up system is basically my own choice. (Mainly to be able to to the files back to a client in case they loose it).

As Imaginerie said, Bridge does NOT have such a feature, and as also stated, ID does.
I'm not a business, just a lone freelancer as Imaginerie, and when I finish any project, I just take all the contents and zip them. Also, I do not do enough work (this is more a hobby for me) to do more than store (and backup) on my external hard drives.
However, you are a business, and that demands more attention to these details. And you have years of data to deal with. Sort of reminds me of when is the best time to plant a tree: the answer is 20 years ago. The 2nd best time to plant a tree is today. So, you've a bit of work to do.
I might suggest finding a programmer who could automate this to some degree or simply grab the bull by the horns (as it were) and designate a portion of every day to packaging these files. If you want to add to the burden a bit, do some Keep & Toss. I know for myself I keep original images AND processed images; both are probably not necessary.
Good luck!

When y'all say "it's an option individually" do you mean that "bulk packing" is an option in each app or that each app can package per singal instance of an opened file?
If it's the first, how would I use Indesgin to package multiple projects at once?
Thanks.

No, I meant packaging all the assets and the main file into one folder, the same as you do already in InDesign.
Sorry for the confusion.

I would ask in the InDesign forum about this being scriptable or if there is a utility that enables this.
