Hi there,

For no reason, my Camera Raw just stopped working - I have my Adobe subscription.
What's going on:
- The XMPs aren’t read anymore
- I can't anymore open a RAW or JPG in Camera Raw.
- Clicking "About Camera Raw" doesn't work anymore
- Tested with Bridge 2022 and 2023
- I have even tried to import test files from me camera SD card with Bridge, and after import I stilI can't open then in Camera Raw.
- I have tried to re install Bridge, but no luck

- When I press "enter" on a Raw file, it open Photoshop as it should then Camera Raw as well

However, everything works fine on my LR Classic.

My computer (Mac) is clean, I really don't get why the XMP stopped been read.

Please advice...
Thanks,
Julien

Hello @Alessandro DellaBitta  @julient86947435  @studiobarros @ChasLaird

This issue is fixed with the latest Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 15.5.1 update.

We recommend you to update to ACR 15.5.1, 'Purge' your files in Bridge and confirm if the issue is resolved at your end.

Update: Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app, click on Update in the left sidebar of the Apps panel, and Check for updates. Then click Update for Camera Raw.

We appreciate your patience and support.

Regards,

Bridge team

Same issue here.

Macbook PRO M1 pro, 16gb ram, macOS Ventura 13.5, Adobe Bridge 13.0.4

I temporaly solved by deleting Camera Raw plugin and in reinstalling Camera raw 15.4.

So, the issue is to search in CR 15.5.

I already contacted "sharewithbr@adobe.com" haven't got any reply yet.

I could fix my problem by re-installing the ACR 14.5 Version. The ACR 15.5 Version is the one that gives the issue.

I have the same exact issue. ACR Works on PS perfectly fine. But since the new update on bridge and ACR it doesn't work. I have re installed Bridge even tried with Bridge Beta. Also used the Adobe Cleaner Tool and nothing helped. Would appreciate every help!

Earlier I had posted the issue with TIF images as it has come up before and I was just tossing that out as a chance it was the issue. Obviously not.

Trying another chance here. Can you go into your preferences and see if this is checked or unchecked? Whatever it is, try the other option.

Okay this helps to open the RAW files via Photoshop at least. It kinda helps but doesn't resolve the problem to its fullest.

This issue just happened to me as well following the latest update.  I have tried several things but Camera Raw still will not open.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

It's working again..

Don't ask me why, but Bridge is working again for no reason I can identify. I DON'T understand why.

Before writing this post I have reinstalled everything, restarted my computer few times, open/close Bridge few times...
I suspect a kind of conflict between Br and LrC.

If someone has a clue on 'why' this error occurred, that will be helpful to know more about it.

This just happened to me today. The option to "open with camera raw" has simply disappeared from bridge, and the camera raw icon in the top left is greyed out. Camera raw is my entire photo editing workflow so this is really frustrating. I hate to think that all I can do is just sit and wait for it to randomly start working again.

Quick question: is this for ALL raw files, or, just out of curiosity, is this a single TIF file?

If it's a single TIF file, please open that file and flatten it (ACR cannot open layered TIF files). After you've flattened it, then you'll have to purge the cache for the entire folder (from the Tools menu) before Bridge can see that the file has changed.
