Date Created

New Here ,
May 14, 2018 May 14, 2018

Hi,

In Photoshop, what is the difference between the date created and date modified?  Can the date created (of the file) be tampered and changed? How would I know if it was changed? Is the date created and date file created the same? What software should I use to show the accurate dates of date created (or date file created) and date modified?

Thank you very much for your help.

Date created is the day the image was shot.

Day modified is when some adjustment was made to the image.

here are apps out there that allow you to modify the meta data fields.

Hi,

Thank you for your prompt response. May I know the apps that I could use to

check accurately the metadata of the photoshop files? Thank you.

Hi All,

We have released a new version of Adobe Bridge (CC 2019) on 15th October 2018. The new version build number is 9.0.0.204. This version is available to install via Adobe Creative Cloud application.

This Bridge update contains support for editing capture time of images (https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/preview-compare-images-bridge.html#Edittheimagecapturetime).

Please check following link to know about all new features in Adobe Bridge CC 2019 - https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/whats-new.html

You may need to update the Creative Cloud application and restart your computer to see the updated installer.

Thanks,

Is anyone else sometimes having issues with Bridge incorrectly recognising "created" time?

Yes. I just uninstalled 2019, grabbed 2021, couldn't figure out how to use it because the nimrod stoner programmers had to change everything and I don't have an hour to learn how to use it. So Adobe won't let me go back beyond 2019. I found a direct link to 2018, and I have the same issue. Saying two things I created today were made over two years ago. Help!!!!!

I am sure I only had that issue briefly, something as simple as a preferences/cache reset/   or restart solved it.
