Using the latest bridge 13 on window 10

I have the folders panel on the right side of the interface

When I open bridge, this defaults to "This PC" under the desktop heading.

I want to default to "This PC" on the folder list and eliminate the "Desktop" from the folders panel

I can't find any settings to modify this

Also, bridge is not saving where I was last.  I would be fine if it just reopens to the last folder I was working in.

Is there a way to remove the "Desktop" from the folders panel

And can you set where you want Bridge to point when you open it up.

THANKS in advance for your assistance

I really just want Bridge to open to whatever folder I select or was in last, but it will always open to a desktop copy of a drive that doesn't have any of my TB of photos. So, I have to navigate to it everytime I open Bridge. Not the end of the world but talk about annoying.

Hi, @Mountaineer196517770868, what is your OS? (My answer is conditional on what your OS is).

Hi @tlb0955 ,

Thanks for your feedback. Could you please confirm if Bridge is crashing when you quit at your end ?

Regards,

It's not crashing, it just doesn't work well.

Same here. Mine does not crash, it's just not working as Bridge 2022 did. Thought maybe they would have corrected the problem by now since the discussion started over a year ago.

Here is a comparison.

YES!  Horrific!

Bridge 12 opens to the proper location and doesn't drill down and unfurl the entire the desktop path to arrive at a foler witin "This PC", but in fact uses the hierarchy in "This PC" that appears at the bottom of your screen cap that isn't currently unfurled.  I use almost none of the other offerings in the upper hierarcy that you show, but Br 14 now unfolds the whole mess and puts a bunch of uselsess stuff in my face that I don't want to see.

Br 12 is clean, neat and efficient.  This is the opposite of that!

I have the same problem since updating to Bridge 2024. My Bridge 2022 opens the folder panel to My PC>Hd Drive F>My Pictures, which is the way it's been since I first started using Bridge. Starting with 2024 it opens under Desktop>Hd Drive F>My Pictures, which does not allow me to open my backup external hard drive that is down the folder tree. I've been unable to find a solution.
