Does a caption on Photos app image successfully go to the iptc description?

I am wondering if I can add captions to my photos in the Apple Photos app ahead of exporting them out of Photos.  I am planning to put them in folders on my Mac so I can work with them in Bridge and possibly eventually Lightroom.  This is a task I can do while sitting with my iPad in the evening.  But I want to be sure they will show up in the proper field (description if I understand it correctly).  Has anyone done this?

I tested this and it works.  Captions added in the Photos App on an iPad populate the description in the IPTC metadata after the photos are exported into a regular folder and viewed in Bridge.
