Feed images with metadata to find them by search terms

Hi,

I'm looking for a best practice for a non professional to manage metadata with Bridge (CC version). Here are my experiences with some questions for more advanced "metadater's" and possibly Adobe support experts (note: translated from German via Google, so some technical terms might be misleading vs. the actual Bridge user interface terms):

o In Bridge, practically only the keyword collection is available for filtering keywords (I'm not talking about created collections now). That's pretty meager when you consider that there is some other central metadata, e.g. with geographical data, people in the picture, etc. Am I getting it wrong or is that really a shortcoming in Bridge?

o You can then only select the other metadata via the "Advanced search". Whereby either only "All metadata" or only a limited selection is offered. Apart from the fact that it is relatively awkward to click.

o This would mean that you should actually include all keywords (aka descriptive metadata) in the keywords. The other fields with geographical data (location etc.) and persons in the picture etc. would then be useless or redundant at first. As I said, everything from the perspective of Bridge as a photo search, find and display machine.

o At some point in future, Bridge will be expanded, and there will then also be a quick search with the metadata that was previously missing. Therefore, you should definitely take care of it now. Adding the other metadata to the keywords is definitely not harmful - at most it eats up storage space and does a bit of additional work. Am I right with that?

o And with the 'Advanced Search' you can still find a lot.

Keywords are only one type of metadata. For example, you can search by date which is often helpful.
