is it possible?
More info please. Are you talking about a list of keywords in Lightroom? You can export a text file of Lightroom keywords.
Keywords are attached to the series of photos in the Lightroom, I want the same Keywords to "work" in Bridge.
Let's say I need to find photos that have the keyword "xx" in the Lightroom, in different catalogs. It's easier to do this in a Bridge, but how to transfer all this data so that they are linked to your photos?
Are the keywords written to the metadata of the image files?
As Lumigraphics mentioned, you can export out the list of keywords from Lr and import into Ps, that way you can apply the same keywords... But if you are only interested in find photos with keywords, then you need to have Lr setup to actually write the keywords to the image files and not just to the internal catalogue database.
"Note: There is no need to create an XML file, Bridge will create the correct XML data when importing the plain text file (this is also the key for sharing keywords between Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Bridge, as both applications use different XML structures for their native keywords database)."
No, the data is recorded in the "Keywords" column
Please take a look at this topic link, there are screenshots to help explain the two separate issues, which from your replies I don't believe you are understanding:
1) Transferring keywords from the Lr catalogue/library as a plain text file export, then importing these into Bridge so that you have "persistant" keywords available when you browse files tagged with the same embedded keywords.
2) Ensuring that you are actually embedding the keywords into the image metadata so that Bridge and other apps can read the keywords, as the keywords may only exist in the Lr catalogue/library and not in the files.
Bridge reads whatever is already there. If you have keywords in your files, Bridge will see them.
I recommend looking over the Adobe Help pages, they have great information.
Keywords are visible only in PSD files, RAW (ARW) files in Lightroom have Keywords and they are not displayed in Bridge
Are you writing metadata to XMP in Lightroom? If not, other apps won't see that data.
I figured it out, it turns out you need to manually overwrite the Metadata, which is very strange.
