how to avoid duplicates while importing via photo downloader

New Here ,
Oct 04, 2019 Oct 04, 2019

Hello,

i have downloaded some gigabyte of photos from my camera via bridge CC photo downloader till it breaks up suddenly and with no reason.

After I start the import process again I saw that all files that already have been copyed are now double but with an additional Number at the end of the file name.

Is there a way to avoid this?

thank you

Hi There,

Welcome to Adobe Community!

As Bridge is creating duplicates when you import images via Photo Downloader, could you please let us know the version of Bridge you're working with?

Could you please have a look at this conversation and let us know if it helps? https://community.adobe.com/t5/Bridge/Bridge-Photo-Downloader-does-not-retain-settings/td-p/10292186

Regards,
Sahil

Hello and thank you for answering,

I'm using Bridge in version 9.1.0.338. I dont know if photo downloader has its own version. I think it comes directly with bridge in one, right?

Unfotunately the linked conversation does not help here.

But: now i know why the download transfer stops often in between. It stops each time it has to copy video clips from the camera. In this case quicktime .mov - clips. The error message is. Adobe Bridge 2019 wurde unerwartet beendet. (German)

Does bridge not support those files?
