Question

How to export JPGs using Bridges Export utility in Adobe RGB color profile?

So, I've been using Image Processor and Image Processor Pro for batch processing and exporting images. Would like to use the EXPORT panel in Bridge because it runs separatly from PS. Problem is that it only exports in sRGB and all my work is on Adobe RGB.
So can we change that setting? You can choose it for PNGs but not JPGs.
Tryied to chage color settings on Bridge and Photoshop but could not make it work...

Using 2023 software versions

The best work around for TIFs is to use Bridge to open them as a batch in ACR and then export to JPG from there. the ACR export allows AdobeRBB (or any color space).

@lkazphoto, Good idea. You can also extend that to JPG as well as TIF images

This can be done via scripting but not with the Export panel. You'll have to go to Photoshop.

It's a completely waste of time, don't you agree ?

No, just use Photoshop if you need more advanced options.

One way around this is in PS to create an Action that sets the Adobe RBG color space.

Then, run Image Processor and include that Action in IP.

Yes, this is a workaround but that's because of the lack of setting color space in Export

But in this case color information would be lost in the convertion. TY!!

Moved to the Bridge forum, from the Photoshop forum.

That is bizarre that png and tif file formats in Export do allow choice of color profiles, but jpg doesn't.

That would be a good feature request to post over in the Bridge UserVoice

What format are your source files in?

The bridge can open many formats in camera raw - this plugin also allows you to process large amounts of files and you can explicitly specify the color space in it.

I use mostly Raw and Tif files. Camera raw can really do the job, but I was looking for the convenience of the Export Panel. I was thinkng that it should be a standard feature to be able to set the color porfile.

I found a preset file - it mentions pngColorSpace, tiffColorSpace, but no jpgColorSpace or just colorSpace. Tried to add these keys manually - nothing changed. So this option is not available.
