How to import workspaces in BRIDGE from one computer to another

I took workspaces from Bridge (in App Data > Adobe > Bridge 2023), put then on a flash drive and copied to same space in new computer.

They don't show up in Window > Workspaces.

What to do?

I think in Bridge 2023 you need to copy the XML files in App Data > Adobe > Bridge 2023 > SavedWorkspaces

I can't confirm that this works, but it's worth a try.

Try creating a new workspace and saving it, and then find it on the drive.  That would tell you that you were looking in the right file path.  I'm thinking of Photoshop that has two file locations for Workspaces in Windows AppData

For me that was

C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge 2023\ArchivedWorkspaces

What's interesting is that is not the name I used.  I also only saved it the once, but it might help that two locations were written to.  BTW did you close Bridge before copying the file?  There's a chance that it won't have been fully updated till Bridge closed.  Probably a low chance, but we know that Photoshop saves things when closing, so maybe something to take into acount.

Let us know how you get on, because this will help other people going forward.

No luck so far.

Yes - I know its in AppData > etc, etc.

There, in Bridge 2023, I have 3: Worspaces / Saved Workspaces and Archived Workspaces.

Two of them contain XML file, not showing the custo name I gave the workspaces.

The third are WS filetype 12

All this is the OLD computer ... the new one only has two foldewrs: Saved Workspaces and Archived Workspaces.

I copied exactly from one to the other ... nothing showing in Bridge > Window > Workspace ...???

I know I imported workspaces before into the machine I'm working on now and it was not a problem...just can't remember what or if I dod something different. 

Or did Bridge change?

I just imported/copied a custom PS Workspace into the new machine ... no problem.
Any other suggestions, please

I've got it!!

Strange though ... I copied from old machine / Saved Workspaces ... which show the date created, but not the given name ... and !! are XML files. 

Then copied to new machine - into Saved Workspaces ...!! ... now are HTML files ??!!??

But it worked - I have now all custom workspaces, with their given names, show in Bridge > Window > Workspaces.

Not really an answer why and how, but its done. 

I left the other / Archived Workspace folder empty.
