Intel i9 MBP Pro overheating

Adobe Bridge 2023 does something but it's not clear what. On idle it uses all resources and heats up the MacBook Pro to 99°C constantly. Previews are rendered, Bridge restarted, and Mac restarted. Still running wild.

 

Observation:

If the window is active it goes nuts. If the window is not active it calms down a bit at least.

    This sounds like mine too - Was left for an hour with a folder of less than 200 Sony raws it was still working hard with no explanation.  Compacting cache (as the blue popup suggested) actually reduced the CPU workload from 35% to 7%, till it finished, when it returned to 35% again.
